Welcome to my Online Store!

Lots of long days and nights to bring you this, my vision here in the UK.

History.

My first design commission, was as a kid, a Skate Board Logo for a friends Skate Shop in Greenwich London. As a teen I taught myself to make punk clothes, stuff I couldnt afford to buy. Using bought paper pattern designs, or just winging it, using my mums old sewing machine ( which I broke making a leather jacket..oh dear).

Things moved on. Different roads, sliding door moments.

In '89 after a career as International Fashion Model ( and training as both a Sculptor, and Photographer) a close friend opened a successful Designer Jewellery Store, off Carnaby Street in London. He asked me to do some pieces. Transitioning from making life size Sculptures, to small Jewellery pieces, and learning all the new skills needed, blimey that was quite a shift! Nevertheless by the early 90s it was a great success, and I got great UK press in Fashion Magazines. I sold there, first as a lone designer, then a collaboration with another talented Designer, Kate Woods, with our Brand 'Guilding the Lily. We did commissions, and made collections for Miss Selfridges, and Boules. We had an exhibition at the All Hallows Church, and the South Bank in London.

I originally launched 'URCHIN' in 1996, on the back of this successful career as a Young Fashion Jewellery Designer in London. I proposed a Brand that would appeal to all in the London scene, including music tie ins. I started with T Shirts, made in Greenwich in London, and sold at Greenwich Market.

Sliding door moments returned.

Mission

Now I'm back, not only with my original Jewellery Designs, and my original 90s Apparel designs, but lots of brand new ranges of Apparel and Accessories.

I see the Brand as offering, giving back something, to the all the various 'Tribes' I've enjoyed being part ever since my early Skate Boarding days.

Here you'll find my unique designs of unisex Jewellery, T Shirts, Shirts, Shoes, Swimwear and more. Ill be adding more lines in '26 onwards.

Also here you can grab my one off customised and upcycled pieces, including hand painted PU Leather Jackets, and Hand Painted Skate Boards.

So what is 'Urchin'?

Urchin is a little bit Punk, little bit Skate, Surf, Snow, Beach, Dance, Martial Arts, and all things Street. Everything I've done, and more. Mix it up, find your own unique expression, find your own 'inner Urchin' is my Motto.

Most importantly all the designs, logos, frabic patterns etc, are my creations alone, completely orignal, and more importantly are all Ai free. I don't generate images or designs using Ai. I hand draw, or paint, everything free hand on paper or occasionally on a Tablet. Then they are photographed and digitalised for compiling designs, fabric patterns and production.

My Jewellery is all originally hand made by me in the UK. Subsequent production including Hallmarking is also all in the UK too.

l Key features of 'Urchin':

•Original Designs, hand drawn, no Ai Generated Art Work.

•Im a Genuine Independent UK Based Artist & Designer, not a corporation, or team of non designers using Ai, spinning out quick generated random ideas for fast Fashion moments. My stuff is to last, classic designs and unique artworks. I do it all, from concept to design, even hand making. Completely Old Skool!

•I've decades of experience in the Fashion Industry in multiple role's.

•Most of my apparel is 'Print on Demand' to reduce waste, and keep prices relatively low. As a small business it means I don't have hold large quantities of expensive stock.

•Other pieces are small runs, I have made by Fashion Manufacturers from my designs, and also my own hand made one offs.

•Clothing where possble is Organic and/or Sustainable Cotton, or 65 to 100% Recycled Polyester. I'm aiming to be polyester and plastic free as soon as alternatives are available to me as a small business.

•I actively seek to recycle. Much of my product packaging I recycle for orders sent to you.

JEWELLERY

•My Jewellery is all designed by me and all hand crafted and finished in the UK in my Studio. I use only 100% solid Sterling Silver ( my pieces are not hollow or silver plated copper or white metal.)

•I use only genuine gemstones, ethically sourced. No paste or composites.

•Each piece is individually hallmarked with my logo JSP and the UK Hallmarking Office in Birmingham

•Each ring is custom made to your requested size, so order's take a few weeks to a month tontrn around.

COMMISSIONS:

I do consider commissions, for Jewellery and Clothing, but please understand they take time and have an appropriate cost.
