My deep understanding of masculine style and visual presence wasn't learned from a textbook. Having worked globally as an International Male Fashion Model, I spent years learning how clothing fits, drapes, and commands a room. Later, training as a Professional Photographer taught me how prints behave under light and how to capture the exact, sharp aesthetic modern men are looking for. These shirts are engineered from both sides of the lens to ensure you look flawless from every angle.
But my relationship with the needle runs far deeper than the runway. My education in garment construction began back in 1979 as a young Punk. Unable to find or afford the clothes I wanted, I embraced the raw DIY ethos of the era and took to my mum’s sewing machine. I learned to cut fabric from shop-bought patterns, but I also learned by deconstructing. I created "frankenstein" pieces—taking apart items I’d bought, studying how the panels interacted, and hand-stitching them back together into entirely new silhouettes. That early, tactile struggle taught me exactly how a shirt is engineered from scratch.
The prints in this collection pull directly from my personal archive of vintage shirts collected during the 1990s, heavily embracing the raw subcultural music and fashion movements of those decades.
The Human Craftsmanship
The textures you see here are heavily inspired by ancient, rustic textile methods—specifically the early art of hand-carving designs into wooden printing blocks. True to the unbroken ethos of the URCHIN brand, every pattern and collage layout is born entirely freehand on paper. Hand-drawn with ink or hand-painted with raw intent, the artwork is photographed, digitized, and meticulously arranged into finished textile designs. Strictly AI-free.
